If you could peek over my should when I’m stuck for an idea you would find these and many, many others all written on popsicle sticks. Yes, popsicle sticks. When I get an idea I write it down and toss it in my decorative tin. You could use an Excel spreadsheet and Random.org to select a line number. For me, I like digging my hand into the sticks, rutting around, and pulling one out. Then I begin to write.
Sometimes the topic/idea actually becomes a finished and published post. Other times something in the writing process morphs and a fresh topic comes out of this writing exercise. Allow the process to take shape and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
None of these ideas drawing you in – then create your own pool of ideas from what you see in headlines and magazine articles. Create a stash of idea-starters to start the ball rolling and soon you’ll find plenty of ways to take your next article from keyboard to ready for publishing. Cheers to your writing success!
